Mesocco Castle
Drone photogrammetry and Gaussian splatting for an explorable 3D model of the castle.
This special project combines drone photogrammetry with the “Gaussian splatting” technique to create a 3D aerial view of Mesocco Castle, offering a complete overview of the whole site from above. From this 3D view, visitors can click on visible points to “dive” into the castle grounds, where the three-dimensional environment blends seamlessly with high-quality 360° images. The site can be explored virtually, viewed from different perspectives and left at any time to return to the aerial view – an interactive and fully immersive experience.
