Centauri – A motorcycle collection in 360°
Centauri's virtual showroom: 42 collector motorcycles from 1947 to 2010, ready to spin and zoom into down to the smallest detail.
Centauri is a project devoted to motorcycle collecting: it publishes the annual Motorcycle Auction Yearbook and looks after a private collection of 42 motorcycles, from a 1947 HRD Vincent to a 2010 KTM 1190R Red Bull. British classics, landmark Ducatis and Hondas, modern superbikes. For Centauri we created the virtual showroom: a 360° tour of the exhibition space in which every motorcycle is clickable. One click opens a carousel where the bike spins around and can be zoomed into, right down to the paintwork, mechanics and finishes. Each motorcycle was photographed on a turntable from 36 to 49 angles, over two days of shooting in February 2022. In 2026 we rebuilt every carousel with a viewer we developed ourselves: it works with a mouse or a finger, loads the photos progressively and does not depend on any external software or licence.
